What is “Ec.I.Mé.T. and vhat is its activity Ec.I.Mé.T. is a non-political and non-profit-seeking Association which proposes to set up a Master on “Transports’ and another one ori “Cruise Tourism”, with a duration od two years each. Theory and practice at a high level will be taught and at the end of courses, students will receive a diploma valid to all the Mediterranean Countries. Courses will be carried out ar Schools and Universities already existing in
the Mediterranean Region. Ec.I.Mé.T. will supply the following: · Programmes for
the two Masters which foresee 55 subjects - · The relevant
“text-books” in five languages (arabic, english,
french, italian and spanish) · Its own
“International Teaching Staff” which, at present, may count on more than 50
teachers coming from 13
Mediterranean Countries Awaiting that the two Masters become operative, some “Mini-courses”
(one-week duration) have started and they will concern, in a synthetic
manner, each single
subject of the Masters to come. Four “Mini-courses” about
Ports, International Trade, Containers
and Cruise Tourism are already operative. The first “Mini-course” was already held at Constance
(Roumania),
the next ones are foreseen to take place at Bari and Cagliari. Furthermore, Ec.I.Mé.T. is collaborating in the organization of the
“Sea Jubilee” Rome - 3l st May - 2nd June 2000) and is evaluating the
possibility to organize , in Rome a Conference on professional training. The next Council Meetings are foreseen to be held in Israel, Egypt and
